ASCO member Charles Blanke, MD, discusses the Latest Advances in Clinical and Translational Research

The 2011 Annual Meeting focuses on the theme of "Patients, Pathways, Progress." The theme, which was selected by ASCO President George W. Sledge, Jr., MD, promises to:

  • Represent "patients first," said Dr. Sledge. "Everything we do as a Society has, as its eventual goal, the reduction of cancer mortality and morbidity. We’re on the front line in the war against cancer";
  • Focus on the molecular, clinical and research pathways that are used to find, develop and implement new treatments for people living with cancer;
  • And celebrate the progress that has already been made in the treatment of cancer, while also reaffirming the Society’s commitment to aggressive advancements in cancer research in the future.

As always, attendees will find the cutting-edge scientific presentations and comprehensive educational content that they have come to expect from ASCO. Check out the abstracts selected for presentation this year.
