ASCO Humanitarian Award • The recipient of the first-ever ASCO Humanitarian Award will be announced during the Opening Session on Saturday, June 4. The Humanitarian Award is unique from other awards presented at the Annual Meeting in that award nominations were accepted from visitors to Cancer.Net, ASCO’s patient-information website.

The ASCO Humanitarian Award recognizes an oncologist who goes above and beyond the call of duty in providing outstanding patient care through innovative means or exceptional service or leadership in the United States or abroad. It is presented to an individual who distinguishes him- or herself through voluntary, uncompensated humanitarian endeavors.
